Chemotherapy is, besides the surgery, one of the most efficient approach to treatment of cancer diseases. However, chemotherapy is often not well tolerated by patient. Resistance to chemotherapy is a major obstacle to the effective treatment of many tumor types. Therefore  research of new anticancer compunds is needed. 

Our aim was to identify plant extracts, which decrease the viability of  breast cancer cells. We used MTT test for assessment of cytotoxic effect of selected extracts.

We found an exctract which is cytotoxic for cancer cells but does not affect ability of normal cells to reduce MTT.
